The SIGMOBILE Outstanding Contribution Award is given for significant and lasting contributions to the research on mobile computing and communications and wireless networking.
Nomination Process
Each nomination should consist of the following items:
The award is usually given annually and will be presented at one of ACM SIGMOBILE's conferences during the year following selection of a winning nomination.
Please note:
All materials must be submitted by the nominator, on or before the deadline, for full consideration. The committee may consider late nominations, but it is not guaranteed.
Self-nominations are not accepted.
The nominee need not be a member of ACM SIGMOBILE.
The nominator must be a member of ACM SIGMOBILE.
An individual may nominate, or endorse, multiple nominees.
Per ACM policy, if any member of the selection committee serves as a nominator or endorser of a candidate, such member will need to recuse themselves from the selection process.
Nominations that did not result in an award can be resubmitted and updated in subsequent years.
Members of the SIGMOBILE Executive Committee or the OCA Selection Committee are not eligible.

- Name, address, phone number, and email address of the nominator, nominee, and endorsers.
- Curriculum vitae, including a list of publications and/or accomplishments, of the nominee.
- Nominator’s statement (between 200 and 500 words long) as to why the nominee deserves the Outstanding Contribution Award.
- A minimum of three and a maximum of five supporting statements from individuals who endorse the nomination. Endorsements may be in the form of emails and should not be longer than 500 words.
